Hey guys,
My name is Andrea Melissa and Chameleon Sol is my little portal to new dimensions (usually full of flowers and sometimes Chipotle). I started my shop about a year ago and after some local markets and some metamorphosis, I ended up here (yay!)! My art has always been my escape but I never felt official enough to call myself an artist, until one day... I decided I was (It's that easy)!! If you put paint on a canvas, you're an artist (no "aspiring" included)! When it finally hit me that I should open a shop, the name meant everything to me! It needed to embody my art, myself, and future dre-dre (feel free to call me that..cause we're pals, right??)!
So lets break this down:
•Chameleon• represents the colorful, vibrant, and evolving nature of my art and myself. Color is what inspires me and shapes the way my ideas translate onto canvas. It was also a statement to let myself and my art grow from where I started. As an artist it's easy to let the work of others intimidate you, while I can't paint portraits or landscapes, I still love my abstract-doodling style of art. So don't be afraid to be different, be yourself. AND don't let others tell you," you're not the same" when you start to grow, change your mind, or take on new direction. That's what my art is all about.
•Sol• is ambiguous for "Soul" and sun in spanish. My parents were both born in El Salvador (No, I don't speak spanish... I know it's a tragedy) but I wanted that little piece of my heritage tied into the name. Once I heard it all together...
>>>Chameleon Sol <<< it just clicked.
The sun represents positivity and along with the chameleon, it just meant letting yourself be proud of your self-growth and truly embodying a Chameleon Sol.
Well get outta here and go fill up your cart!
Love,
Andrea
